The Great thing about Bright, North Eastern Victoria and Why It Is A Great Australian Getaway
>> Saturday, September 17, 2011
As discussed in my previous article I am now travelling through Australia's Snowy Mountains and High Country. I arrived in Bright, North Eastern Victoria a week back.
Bright, Victoria, is a country city of about 3,000 folks which lies in a valley through which the Ovens River flows. Bright is fully surround by Australia's pine covered High Country and the Victorian Ski Resorts of Mt. Buffalo, Mt Hotham, Dinner Plain and Falls Creek. All ski resorts are a comparatively short drive for skiers and snowboarders. Particularly when the accommodation is much cheaper than staying in the ski resorts.
I have been to Bright a few times in the past but not in late August -Sept. It is just a spectacular country city with a load of quality. You'll love it!
The Spring blossoms cover Barnard, Ireland and Gavan streets like a huge Bridal Arch. Bright offers a truly magnificent holiday experience, with 5 distinct seasonal attributes. Spectacular autumn colors, warm summers alongside rivers fed by defrosting snows from the alps above. Wherever you look is views you can just wish to capture on camera that's why it is featured in so many tourist publications and videos. Try the videos and images on our website at http://www.bright-accommodation.com.au/motel-accommodation/bright-avenue-motor-inn
I didn't have accommodation prepared so I made up my mind to ask some of the locals, the best place to remain. It was suggested, I am going see Michelle and Glenn at Bright Avenue Motor Inn on Delany Ave. It is also known as The Great Alpine Rd because it winds it's way up through the pine and eucalyptus forests to Victoria's Alpine resorts of Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Dinner Plain and Mt Buffalo.
The accommodation is officially rated 4 star and extremely clean, cosy, roomy, with kitchenette and ensuite. There is a guest laundry, swimming pool and the Ovens River, and parkland are adjacent to the back of the property.
Glen and Michelle are brilliant hosts and have been operating Bright Avenue Motor Inn along with their four children and friendly and competent team since October 2004.
In my next article I am going to discuss some of the approaching events for 2011-12. Some of the day tours you can take all though Australia's High Country around Bright, in North Eastern Victoria. If you have experienced a vacation in Bright then please let's hear of your experiences by posting your comments on our blog.
