Quick Tips On Outsourcing Services For Online Marketing Experts
>> Tuesday, September 20, 2011
Before, I used to worry a lot about trying to hide the current projects I was doing, but has changed since I became more transparent when it comes to my current online projects. I believe that I got my own style when it comes to dealing with other online marketing experts. That is what keeps me confident that I can accomplish these online projects on time and get the results that I am expecting.
I don't worry so much about non disclosure agreements because I believe that a healthy competition between professionals in different industries bring out the best in ourselves as experts.
Also it's not about the product necessarily. When you're getting work done, getting a product done, getting a website done, maybe some software developed, it's not about the product at the end of day.
What's going to make that successful is the marketing. Is there a market out there that wants to buy whatever it might be? Can you get traffic to it, whether that's foot traffic into your business or web traffic? Can you then convert those people to buy whatever you're trying to sell? They are the three keys to a business. It's not the product.
Maybe there are a few reasons you want to be secretive about your product. But when you think about it, you are more concerned on how to promote it like online marketing tips that you want to keep to yourself. Other folks may try to rip your product off, but can they flip and convert it too in the long run? That's the question, because they can never get the skill that you have when it comes to making a successful business. That is what you need to remember today.
Writing an excellent job spec flow works well for the outsourcers. For example, if you want to outsource a graphic designer then you would have to apply the same process for him on a regular basis. It is important to offer a brief in general for all of your staff whether you hire them internally or externally.
Let me go through some work I did recently. I had some graphic design work done recently and let me show you the terrible brief or the good brief, depending on the way you want to look at it I did, and the results I got. Again, the brief doesn't have to be fantastic, just like what you give to your online marketing experts. The biggest thing I think out of all the things you can do is provide your out tasker with examples and the references. If you can give them as close as what you want to the finished product, you're going to get it quicker and cheaper. I got some graphic design work done, so let me give you some of the examples that I gave this guy.
I needed a new website done for my owntheg.com website. A few years ago I bought a lot of the old MCC crested carpet that was part of the Melbourne Cricket Ground which is Australia's version of Yankee Stadium. I made a series of frames up with a picture of the MCG, a piece of the crested carpet, a plaque and made a series of memorabilia pieces. I'm just in the process of re launching that website for a final series, so I need a new sales page done up.
What I did was grab some screen capture software. I did an extremely bad mock up, text towards the top, this is the way I would like the video sitting here, some notes down the side, some cart buttons and the copy below. Therefore, all I just did is some bad copy and paste work.
I think for graphics that is really key. When someone's in your office, it's really easy to be chatting with them and you've got that brain width because they're right in front of you and you can explain exactly what needs to be done. But for graphic and video, they're probably some of the most difficult things to out task and outsource that you'll find. the best way is cut and paste, hop into Photoshop, learn the basics of cut and paste and put together something to show your out tasker. It's the quickest and easiest way, and using screen capture software.
I modeled this particular website well with a product launch type process. There were a lot of videos I wanted to get sitting at the top of the web page. So I screen captured it, sent the link to the designers and my online marketing experts for review. I wrote much more of a brief out of it and got the result I needed.
